Social media plug-ins
Use of social plugins from Facebook and Pinterest and double opt-in
Our site uses plugins provided by social networks. In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are integrated into the site using the so-called "2-click solution" from Heise Online. This integration ensures that no connection to the servers of the provider of the respective social network is established when you access a page of our website that contains such plugins.

Only when you activate the plugins, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network. The content of each plugin is then transmitted from the associated provider directly to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugin, the provider receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the relevant provider or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) will be transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the provider in the US and stored there. When you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Like", or "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published on the social network and displayed to your contacts. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our offer, taking into account the balance of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 lit. f GDPR.
For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by the social networks, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please see the providers' privacy policies: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php https://about.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy

Use of Instagram social plugins

When you visit a page of our website that contains a social plugin, your browser makes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Google, Twitter, or Instagram. The content of the plugin is transmitted by the provider directly to your browser and integrated into the webpage. By integrating the plugin, the provider receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the relevant supplier or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) will be transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the provider in the US and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can immediately assign the visit to our website to your profile in the respective social network. If you interact with the plugins, for example the "Like" or the "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to the provider's server and stored there. The information is also published on the social network and displayed to your contacts. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our offer, taking into account the balance of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 lit. f GDPR.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by the providers as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please see the privacy policies of the providers. https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388

If you do not want the social networks to associate the data collected from our website directly with your profile in the respective social network, you must log out of the respective network before visiting our website.
